Members of the clade Systellommatophora are air breathing slugs. Two superfamilies are recognized, Onchidioidea, primarily marine, and Veronicelloidea, terrestrial.

A mostly marine family, but contains a few semi-terrestrial species (marine intertidal) and two terrestrial species, Oncis ponsonbyi (=Platevindex ponsonbyi) and Semperoncis montana (=Platevindex apoikistes and Semperella montana), both live in high altitude rainforests in SE Asia.
