The superfamily Rissoidea contains mostly marine snails in 23 families. They are operculate and posess gills. Terrestrial or semi-terrestrial species are found in three families: Assimineidae, Pomatiopsidae. and Truncatellidae. Distributions were taken from Compendium of Landshells by R.
